STATE SEN. STEVE CASSANO (SD-04)
Steve Cassano knows that nothing is more important than putting people back to work and getting our economy growing again.
As a former Mayor of Manchester for 14 years, Steve has brought his experience to the State Capitol to represent the towns of Andover, Bolton, Glastonbury and Manchester.
Steve works with leadership in the legislative and executive branches to meet multiple responsibilities related to state government. He is known as a hard-worker with the ability to bring people together. Steve is a well-respected and active member of the General Assembly.
Steve is a former Sociology professor at Manchester Community College. He and his wife Holly live in Manchester along with their dog Fenway.
STATE REP. JILL BARRY (HD-31)
First elected to the Glastonbury Town Council in 2011, Jill immediately set to work building relationships across the aisle to get things done. She knows how to find common ground to accomplish the common good. During her time on the Council, Jill assisted businesses seeking to expand or relocate. She also initiated and passed the “Tobacco Free Parks” program in Glastonbury after hearing concerns from parents and coaches who saw people smoking near children at baseball games.
In 2018, Jill was elected to represent the 31st District in the General Assembly. She serves as Vice Chair of the Education Committee and also sits on the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee as well as the Public Safety Committee.
Jill works as an Account Manager at Graff Wood Association Management Solutions where she provides accounting, budgeting, and strategic planning for clients—skills that serve her well given the ongoing economic challenges in Hartford.
STATE REP. JASON DOUCETTE (HD-13)
Jason was born and raised Manchester. He grew up in the Martin School district and currently resides on Stephanies Way with his wife, Heather and his boys, Teddy and Charlie.
Elected to the General Assembly in 2018, Jason serves as Vice Chair of the Banking Committee and also sits on the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee and the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee.
Previously, Jason served on the Manchester Board of Directors (Town Council), Workforce Development Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, School Modernization and Revitalization Committee (SMARTR 1), and Redevelopment Agency, among many others.
When not serving Glastonbury and Manchester in Hartford, Jason works as an attorney with the firm of Gagliardi, Doucette & Geraghty.
