Thomas Kehoe
State Legislature, 31st District
ELECTED ON NOVEMBER 7, 2006

Tom Kehoe has brought a new voice and a new vision for the 31st District to Glastonbury. As a member of the Majority Party, Tom has had an immediate and significant impact on the legislature, as exemplified by the $2.8 million that Tom was instrumental in securing for Glastonbury as part of the ECS funds (Education Cost Sharing from the State) that were returned to our Town.

He brings integrity and common sense to the office along with his extensive business and legal experience. He has expertise in the Energy Field, an area that requires the serious attention of all Legislators in the state and in the nation.

He has been a lifelong conservationist and continues to work on behalf of Glastonbury to protect the environment and open space.

Zelda Lessne
Register of Voters
ELECTED ON NOVEMBER 7, 2006

Zelda Lessne represents the best of Glastonbury public service. She assists people at every opportunity--whether they are new voters registering for the first time or they are voters seeking information. Friendly, competent, organized are only a few words that describe her. She serves Glastonbury well as Registrar of Voters.

Mary Ann Handley
State Senate
Senator Mary Ann Handley has been endorsed by the Glastonbury, Manchester, Marlborough, and Bolton Town Committees to represent them in the Connecticut State Senate.

Senator Mary Ann Handley is running for Re-Election to her seventh term representing the 4th Senatorial District and the residents of its four towns, Bolton, Glastonbury, Manchester, and Marlborough.

This term, she assumed an enhanced leadership role as the Senate chair of the legislature's Public Health Committee. She remains vice-chair of the Judiciary Committee with membership on the Commerce Committee as well.

She has also been promoted to Chief Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate; she had been the long-standing Senate Chair of the Human Services Committee.

Her leadership is well known within the State Senate and among all her constituents. Her trademark is a strong concern and a quick response to all her constituents.

Jason Rojas
Candidate for State Representative, Ninth District
Jason Rojas is the endorsed Democrat for State Representative for the 9th Assembly District which covers parts of East Hartford, Manchester and the Addison and Buckingham neighborhoods of Glastonbury. Rojas was the winner of the Primary Election held on August 12, 2008 and is the now the official Democratic candidate for the Ninth District.

Jason has spent the last 5 years in elected office on the East Hartford Board of Education and currently serves on the East Hartford Town Council. He has extensive experience in education and higher education and is currently the Director of Community Relations at Trinity College in Hartford and was at the Connecticut State Department of Higher Education for four years.

Jason currently sits on the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Public Secondary Schools. Jason’s goals are to expand state funding for local education and invest in community infrastructure and economic development.

Jason earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Connecticut and is currently working toward a Masters Degree in Public Policy at Trinity College. Jason is married to Sarah Gaudreau of East Hartford and they have a 1 year old daughter, Addison.

Continue the strong leadership we have experienced in the Ninth Assembly District.
