In the spring of 2009, I led Naubuc Elementary School parents in their efforts to preserve a quality education at the school. We’re facing several critical issues in Glastonbury education. First, we must preserve small class sizes, the building block of any education program, even in trying economic times. Second, we must have educational leaders who are able to preserve educational excellence while remaining fiscally responsible. Finally, I fear that radical cuts to the education budget will undermine Glastonbury’s competitive advantage in central Connecticut and erode our property values.
Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Government at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
